This Privacy Policy describes how the Talking Clock & Alarm app ("the App") handles information when you use it on your Android device. The App is offered on Google Play and is intended to comply with applicable privacy requirements, including Google Play's data safety and policy requirements.

1. Data collection and use

The App does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data to any server or third party. All data you create in the App stays on your device unless your device or Google backup settings back it up.

We do not:

• Collect your name, email, phone number, or other personally identifiable information
• Send your data to our servers or to analytics or advertising companies
• Use tracking or advertising IDs for profiling or ads

2. Data stored on your device

The App stores the following data only on your device:

• Alarms — Times, messages, repeat days, and talking-alarm preference
• Focus timers — Names, work/break durations, cycle counts, and runtime state
• Talking Clock settings — Interval, quiet hours, on/off state, and optional "always announce" mode
• App settings — Notifications, sound, vibration, and dark mode

This data is used solely to run the App's features. It is not uploaded or shared.

3. Android permissions

The App requests permissions only as needed:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — Alarm and focus-timer notifications
• Exact alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM) — Fire alarms and optional reliable talking-clock announcements on schedule
• Vibrate (VIBRATE) — Vibration for alarms and timer notifications when enabled
• Foreground services — Alarm sound and talking clock in the background
• Full-screen intent (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT) — Show alarm full-screen when allowed by the system
• Wake lock (WAKE_LOCK) — Wake the device to trigger alarms
• Boot completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — Reschedule alarms and restore talking clock after restart

No permission is used to collect or send data off your device.

4. Text-to-speech (TTS)

The App uses your device's built-in Text-to-Speech engine for the Talking Clock and talking alarms. Speech is generated on your device. The App does not send alarm messages or other text to our servers. Third-party TTS engines may have their own terms.

5. Device backup

The App may participate in Android backup so alarms and settings can be restored after reinstall or on a new device. Backup is controlled by your device and Google account. We do not receive or store your backup data.

6. Children's privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. It is a utility app and does not target children.

7. Data security

Because data stays on your device, its security depends on your device settings (lock screen, encryption). The App stores data in private app storage and does not transmit it.

8. Your rights and choices

• Delete alarms and focus timers in the App
• Turn off notifications, sound, or vibration in Settings
• Uninstall the App to remove all of its data from your device

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
